Elevating their souls with the Memorial Bima Cover

Behind the October 7th Memorial Bima Cover

The Memorial Bima Cover is inscribed with the names of every one our brothers and sisters who were mercilessly taken from us on Oct. 7, designed to encircle and surround the Bima.

The Bima, from which the Torah is read, our prayers are emanated, reaching the Heavens, memorializing and elevating the Neshamos of the victims.

A day of ultimate celebration for the Torah, is a day that marks the loss of 1,200 sisters and brothers.
This Simchas Torah, what greater way to honor and elevate the Neshamos of the Kedoshim of Oct 7th, than to complete and begin the cycle of the reading of the Torah, atop a Bima cover naming and memorializing every one of our brethren mercilessly taken from us exactly one year ago.

Beautifully printed in the center of the Memorial Bima Cover are the words of the verse in Devarim:
הַרְנִ֤ינוּ גוֹיִם֙ עַמּ֔וֹ כִּ֥י דַם־עֲבָדָ֖יו יִקּ֑וֹם… וְכִפֶּ֥ר אַדְמָת֖וֹ עַמּֽוֹ:

O nations, sing the praises of His people, for He will avenge the blood of His servants… and placate His land — His people.

A flame, representative of the soul, is made of the letters הי”ד, standing for the words השם יקום דמם – May G-d exact retribution for their blood.

This Shmini Atzeres – Simchas Torah, on their Yahrtzeit, join Shuls around the word using the Memorial Cover as beautiful way to honor their souls.

October 7 Memorial Bima Cover will be used for Yom Kippur Yizkor Service and Simchas Torah – the First Yahrtzeit.
